The XLI Meeting of Polish Physicists in Lublin, Poland (4-9 September 2011) is organized by the Lublin Branch of the Polish Physical Society in cooperation with the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Lublin University of Technology, Lublin University of Life Sciences and the Institute of Agrophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences.
The present Meeting is going to continue a long tradition of physicists congresses in Poland. In April 1923 the first Meeting of the Polish Physical Society (established in 1920) was held in Warsaw. Then and nowadays the aim of the Polish Physical Society is advancement and promotion of the knowledge of physics, integration of all physicists independently of their place of employment and representation of physicists community. The Meetings play an important role to reach these goals.
During five days of the Lublin’s Meeting 15 plenary invited talks will be given reviewing most of the actual topics in physics. Over 100 lectures will be presented in twelve specialized parallel sessions:

  1. astrophysics and elementary particle physics
  2. cosmology and gravitation
  3. atomic and molecular physics
  4. nuclear physics
  5. plasma physics
  6. nuclear energy topics
  7. medical physics and biophysics
  8. soft matter physics
  9. solid state physics
